We recently worked with Midnight Rambler, a bohemian, rock n roll boutique located in Denver, CO. With this boutique being fairly new, we were excited to work with their team. We both loved the edginess and the confidence we felt when wearing these pieces. This urban boutique sells unique clothing and gift items to Denver’s millennial women. Our photo shoot was done by the talented, Wen Ten and we are super excited to show you all the finished pictures! Enjoy!

Today is a special day as we celebrate, International Women’s Day. Celebrated annually on March 8th, this day is to honor the social, economic, cultural, and political achienvements of women around the world. With the worlds, “Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Gender Gap” the findings showed that gender parity is still over 200 years away, pushing this year’s global theme to, #PressForProgress. Over time we’ve established a strong and growing global movement of advocacy, activism, and support to help us women through this journey. Today is a reminder to all women to love the skin you’re in, support your sisters, and make each step you take in this world divine.
To help honor, we’ve compiled a list of empowering quotes from strong female leaders.
“I feel so blessed to be a woman. I feel so blessed to be a person of color. I feel so blessed to be from the boogie down Bronx. I have so many things to be grateful for. And so I think part of my wanting my march towards change is so that I never feel that those things are limiting factors. That those are parts of the mosaic of who I am, but that they don’t somehow put a limit to my trajectory.”– Kerry Washington, Actress
“The thing that I would like to say to younger women is that it is so much more fun being in charge. And it is so much easier being in charge. You have more money. You have more support. You have more sort of bureaucratic support around you. And that’s not a message that women get in our culture. We get a message that ambition is bad, that you’re probably rapacious, that you’ve probably stabbed everybody along the way to get here, which is a super negative message.” – Joanna Coles, Chief Content Officer, Hearst
“There will be plenty of times where being a woman is probably not helping your career, so when it does, take the opportunity and then stand out. Really show that you’re something special.” – Julie Sweet, CEO, Accenture North America
Earlier this month we did another collaboration with Nuorikko, a bridal line that’s endlessly wearable. Kaitlyn Thomas the designer, CEO and founder of Nuorikko welcomed us back for another project. We were both fit into such beautiful and luxury pieces we’re super excited to show you all!
Amanda’s first outfit has two layers, the first layer is a sheer white slip on dress, with a deep V-neck. Layered on top of that dress is, Safiina, a beautifully designed lasercut lace, sheer circle silhouette slip on dress. Some cool added features is the 3D flowers scattered over the skirt.
Nancy wore the beautiful Priska gown, crafted out of premium silk and wool. This piece is structured and sophisticated which made it a perfect match for Nancy.
On Amanda’s second outfit she was reunited with the Annikki one piece that she wore to the Denver Fashion weekend. She accompanied the top with the modern Kati skirt. This full, flared skirt is specially constructed for dramatic effect, with a high-low hem, sweep train, crisp fabrics and construction to keep the minimalist vibes high.
Down below we will show you the rest of the beautiful pictures from this project, we did a lot of mix and match with these outfits to show you guys how easy it would be to customize your own piece. We did a collaboration with the inspiring, Rachel Hurst, a clothing designer that creates looks for the strong, creative and independent lady bosses out there. We were introduced to Rachel through social media and once we met up with her, we saw her vision of embracing femininity. We admired the change she is bringing to the clothing industry through her designs.
Rachel Hurst started in custom design then transitioned into fashion, she loved every moment of it and you can tell in her work how much heart she puts into it. She finds her inspiration in the women around her and the woman she wants to be. In the clothing you feel empowered and ready to take over the world.
Amanda wore a red silk dress, it was long in the back and short in the front. Flowery pattern across the V-shaped chest piece.
Nancy choose a sheer white, long sleeve dress with sequence accents all around.
Special thanks to Wen Tan for capturing these images for us, check out the rest below and lets us know your thoughts!

Before 2017 comes to an end, we both wanted to finish it off with one last photoshoot. We decided to collaborate with David Arnspiger, a dedicated photographer that we’ve worked with in the past. We wanted to do something different therefore, we leaned towards an empowering and revealing Christmas shoot. With David’s years of experience, he was able to create a Christmas wonderland studio and captured our vision just the way we wanted. We had a lot of fun with this project and we hope you enjoy the pictures just as much as we do. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones and make sure you look out for more collaborations in 2018.
To start the week off, we’d like to share our go-to workout that targets your entire body. With the help of Karisa, a personal trainer, we were able to come up with an easy full body circuit that incorporates your legs, abs & arms. When you do these workouts, make sure you’re really taking your time doing slow, controlled repetitions and don’t forget to keep your core engaged!!
Try 3 sets of 15 for each workout and let us know how you like them!
As promised, we put together a video talking about our experience with the eyelash extensions we got for the Denver Fashion Show. We got these done at Lash & Co; a local business where you can get anything beauty. Their services include anything from lash extensions, to spray tanning, to total skin rejuvenation. The eyelash extensions were beautifully done and we were well taken care of. As soon as we walked in, their staff was SO friendly and welcoming, we knew we were in good hands. We fell in love with the extensions and we can’t wait to go back and try out more of their services. Make sure you check out our review video and share with us your stories!
We had the honor of working with Nuorikko, a bridal company, whose mission is to bring freshness to the bridal industry. The designer and founder Kaitlyn Thomas, is an inspiration as she has created a global movement. Her goal is to empower women and brides by giving them the opportunity to create their own bridal look, while maintaining the smallest carbon footprint possible. Kaitlyn Thomas stated “As a designer, as an innovator, I believe I have a duty and an obligation to use what I know (about the apparel industry) to make this world a better place.”
With Denver Fashion weekend approaching, we wanted to find a unique designer to work with. After meeting with Kaitlyn and learning about her mission, we knew we had to collaborate with her. The mix and match concept in her collection stood out to us which is why we were excited to work with her collection.
For the first night of the Denver Fashion show we got the privilege of wearing custom Nuorikko pieces put together by us. We loved the idea of wearing white on white since it’s such a elegant look that’s perfect for a fashion event.
Nancy choose the beautiful form fitting Sofi skirt. This skirt is high-waisted and really hugs your body in all of the right places. As soon as we saw the Lytti top we knew one of us had to wear it, it has a see through material and that’s so in right now! Nancy decided to wear it with a white bralette underneath. This went together with the Sofi skirt and created a sexy look that really went beyond bridal.
For Amanda’s look, she chose the white, sheer Linnea skirt. The skirt is the perfect accompaniment to many bridal ensembles. The woven waistband, followed with the sheer fabric, gave the look an edgy and elegant influence.
Amanda paired the Linnea skirt with a sophisticated, modern Annikki body suit. The deep V neck and the back button up made the Annikki body suit a perfect match to the Linnea skirt. The two pieces together created accents that were edgy, minimal, and dramatic.
Being a part of Nuorikko and collaborating with Kaitlyn Thomas, was very special to us. Her kind heart and visions for her company was inspiring, and we can’t wait to do more projects with her in the future. Pictures from Denver Fashion Weekend as well as Nuorikko’s website are posted below. Please check them both out and show some love.
